4 Things To Do In Doha This Weekend (Dec 17-19)

It’s a week of great significance here in Qatar, since on December 18th, we are celebrating Qatar National Day, also known as the Founder’s Day. Various festive activities take place all over the country to commemorate this important day. This weekend will definitely be busy!

Here are the top things to do in Doha this weekend:

1. Watch a special screening at Drive-In Cinema in Lusail

From Thursday to Saturday, the drive-in cinema in Lusail will be playing a variety of family-friendly short films to celebrate Qatar National Day 2020. From December 17th to 19th at 6:30 pm, you can take your car and watch the special screenings after buying your ticket online.

2. Qatar National Day at Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City is celebrating Qatar National Day with various festive activities. A 3D ‘I love Qatar’ display, a ‘Message Wall’ where visitors will be able to share their appreciation for Qatar, an augmented reality ‘Selfie Mirror’ for guests to take pictures and virtually try on Qatari national attires, as well as distributing miniature Qatari national flags to all visitors.

3. Try baking your favorite dessert

Cooking and baking are believed to be therapeutic – in challenging times like these, it is essential to take some time to do something fun to decompress. 4. Enjoy a day at Lusail

It has the title of ‘Qatar’s upcoming smart city,’ and it is perfect for enjoying your day there; from walking at Lusail Marina Promenade, enjoying a snack or a drink at one of the food stalls at the Food Arena or checking out the suspension bridges and the unique buildings, Lusail never ceases to impress!

Whatever you’ll be doing this weekend, enjoy it!
