It’s a week of great significance here in Qatar, since on December 18th, we are celebrating Qatar National Day, also known as the Founder’s Day. Various festive activities take place all over the country to commemorate this important day. This weekend will definitely be busy!

Here are the top things to do in Doha this weekend:

1. Watch a special screening at Drive-In Cinema in Lusail

From Thursday to Saturday, the drive-in cinema in Lusail will be playing a variety of family-friendly short films to celebrate Qatar National Day 2020. From December 17th to 19th at 6:30 pm, you can take your car and watch the special screenings after buying your ticket online.

2. Qatar National Day at Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City is celebrating Qatar National Day with various festive activities. A 3D ‘I love Qatar’ display, a ‘Message Wall’ where visitors will be able to share their appreciation for Qatar, an augmented reality ‘Selfie Mirror’ for guests to take pictures and virtually try on Qatari national attires, as well as distributing miniature Qatari national flags to all visitors.
