How Are You Dealing with Quarantine Skin?

How Are You Dealing with Quarantine Skin?

While staying at home with limited access to beauty and cosmetics stores, I had to get creative to produce more accessible products and natural remedies to keep my skin fresh and healthy!

Here are my top 5 secrets for the perfect quarantine skin.

1. Never Skip Moisturizer

Using the right kind of moisturizer for your skin can help maintain its balance. It can also reduce the appearance of blemishes.

I always moisturize after a hot shower when my pores are wide open, so my skin can soak all that goodness. To get the most out of my moisturize and boost my circulation, I always refrigerate it.

2. Massage Puffy Eyes

Missed up sleeping schedule can cause puffy eyes, which is something I struggled with until I found these easy fixes!

Each morning I softly massage under my eyes with a bottle of cold water to reduce swelling (baggy under eyes) and to get an instant fresh look.

And sometimes I would use a chilled caffeinated tea bag if I have any discoloration, redness or dark circles. This trick never let me down!

3. Try Sugary Lips

An essential part of my skin routine during quarantine is taking care of my lips as they are the most prone to get dry.

I use drug store lip balm 3-4 times a day, and once weekly, I would use a sugar scrap made of (1 tbs honey and two tbs Sugar), and I apply them with a dry toothbrush. You can thank me later for the results.

4. Stay Sun-Kissed

I’m sure we all miss going out and enjoying the sun! I made it a habit these days to sit on the balcony or near the window between 10:00 – 12:00 in the morning, for at least 15 minutes to enjoy the sunlight and maintain my vitamin D levels.

Getting anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes of sunlight on your arms, hands, and face 2-3 times a week is enough to enjoy healthy levels of Vitamin D, and the benefits of the sun and maybe even a light tan!

5. Drink Water

Water can enhance your beauty and prolonging your youthful look. It can help you in getting the soft and glowing skin that you’ve always wanted.

Water can also keep your lips soft and hydrated, prevent eczema, and enhance your natural glow.

I have never thought that taking care of my skin can be this easy. Quarantine helped me achieve my #SkinGoals by using less make-up and more natural remedies and simple products.
